Located in California's Mother Lode country, Nevada County stretches from the eastern Sacramento Valley, across the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the state of Nevada, covering a total of 612,900 acres. In 2005, the county's population neared 99,000, an increase of 7 percent from 2000's population estimates. By the year 2020, Nevada County is projected to be home to more than 126,000 residents. And as the population grows so will the demand for Nevada County real estate.
